Remote scanning in Windows sometimes can be a pain. Scanners are redirected then your next session they are not. Why is that?
Well when you setup and connect using RDP in a server session, Windows is supposed to redirect all printers and devices connected to your local machine. Sometimes there are hiccups. Drivers change. Drivers are no longe compatible because of updates and so on.
